Journey south to admire the imposing Tsagaan Suvarga, an ancient seabed sculpted by the wind into spectacular shapes. Walking along the canyon's edges, you'll be enchanted by the pink and ochre hues of the rocks, reminiscent of a ghost town of white stupas. Overnight at a ger camp.
DAY 2: YOL VALLEY – THE ICE CANYON IN THE GOBI
Explore the Gurvan Saikhan Mountains National Park to discover the Valley of the Eagles. After visiting the nature museum, you'll hike into the deep canyon where the ice resists even the desert sun, creating a unique and breathtaking microclimate. Overnight at a gher camp.
DAY 3: KHONGOR SAND DUNES – THE SINGING SANDS
Arrive at the spectacular Khongor dunes, the highest in Mongolia. Experience the thrill of a camel caravan and climb the sandy ridges to hear the "song" of the dunes and enjoy sweeping views of the Gobi Desert. Overnight at a ger camp.
DAY 4: BAYANZAG – THE FLAMING CLIFFS
Depart for Bayanzag, the legendary site where Roy Chapman Andrews discovered the first dinosaur eggs. As the sun sets, the cliffs glow a deep red, offering an unparalleled visual spectacle as you trek in the footsteps of these Cretaceous giants. Overnight at a gher camp.
DAY 5: ONGI MONASTERY – HISTORY BY THE RIVERSIDE
Visit the evocative ruins of Ongi Monastery, once one of Mongolia's greatest Buddhist centers. Explore the temple ruins on the banks of the Ongi River, reflecting on the resilient history of this sacred site during the golden hour of sunset. Overnight at a ger camp.
DAY 6,7: ORKHON VALLEY – ULAAN TSUTGALAN WATERFALL
Journey toward the Ulaan Tsutgalan Waterfall, a natural masterpiece formed by ancient volcanic flows. Enjoy the absolute freedom of the steppe—swim in the refreshing river, relax in the vast meadows, or engage in nomadic life by helping to herd or milk the yaks. Overnight stay with a nomadic family or in a guesthouse.
DAY 8: ELSEN TASARKHAI – DUNES & NOMADIC WARMTH
Depart for the dunes of Elsen Tasarkhai, a unique landscape where desert and steppe meet. In addition to enjoying a camel ride, you'll visit a local nomad family to discover the hospitality of the central lands, spending the night in a charming ger camp under the stars.
DAY 9: ULAANBAATAR – MODERN SOUL & ANCIENT ROOTS
Retur Return to the capital for a tour of the National Gallery and the sacred Gandan Monastery. The day will conclude with a concert of traditional Mongolian music (Tumen Ekh), an explosion of colors and ancestral sounds before a final dinner in the city. Overnight at a hotel.
DAY 10: DEPARTURE
Early morning transfer to the airport for your flight back home. You leave with the spirit of the nomad and the vastness of the Gobi etched in your memory.
