DAY 1: Arrive Ulaanbaatar and depart for AMARBAYASGALANT MONASTERY
Arrive at Chinggis Khaan International Airport in Ulaanbaatar and depart for Amarbayasgalant Monastery, one of the largest and most renowned monasteries in Mongolia, located in the beautiful Iven River Valley, at the foot of Mount Burenkhan.
DAY 2: URAN TOGOO
After breakfast, we will head to Uran-Togoo National Park to explore the majestic peaks of Uran-Togoo National Park, where the extinct Uran Togoo volcano stands as a monument to the power of nature.
DAY 4-5: KHUVSGUL Lake
Depart for Khuvsgul Lake for a walk around the lake and a chance to spot reindeer. Explore Khuvsgul Lake with trekking on the lake and mountains for photo sessions. We will continue to explore the fauna and flora of the area, a day of deep connection with nature and Mongolian spirituality. Possibility to participate in a thanksgiving ceremony for the experience lived and for the wisdom shared by the shamans.
Optional: rent a small boat to reach Khusliin Khad "Wishing Rock".
DAY 6: SHINE IDER
Heading to Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur, a lake surrounded by majestic mountains, where we will spend the night in a traditional Mongolian tent called a ger.
DAY 7: KHORGO Volcano
Departure for the majestic depths of the extinct volcano Khorgo. Then, immersed in the serene beauty of Lake Terkhiin Tsagaan, we will venture into bird watching and fishing, while the golden light of the sunset paints the surrounding landscape. The night will welcome us with its quiet, with the reassuring sound of the waves that lull the shore, as we prepare for another day of adventures.
DAY 8-9: TOVKHON MONASTERY and Orkhon Waterfall
Visit to the mystical Tovkhon Monastery, nestled on a majestic rocky hill, surrounded by the quiet of the surrounding forests. There, among ancient walls and breathtaking views, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the spirituality and thousand-year history of this sacred place. Here you can go on horseback excursions and experience the typical day of the Mongolian nomads, milking the cow and if you want there is the opportunity to build the ger yurt.
DAY 10: KHARKHORIN
Visit the local museum of Karakorum and the Erdene Zuu monastery, surrounded by stupas, to learn about the history of the ancient Mongolian capital. Kharakhorum, the ancient capital of Mongolia founded in 1220 by Genghis Khan, is famous for its monumental ruins and the Erdene Zuu monastery, surrounded by stupas.
DAY 11: ELSEN TASARKHAI
Explore the semi-desert of Elsen Tasarkhai, a journey through sand dunes and breathtaking landscapes, with the opportunity to practice meditation in a natural setting unique in the world. The Khugun Khan monastery, next to Elsen Tasarkhai, is a sacred place that offers not only a breathtaking view of the Mongolian plains, but also the opportunity to immerse yourself in spirituality through meditation and contemplation.
DAY 12: ULAANBAATAR
Return to the vibrant Mongolian capital, where, after a regenerating rest, you will set off on a fascinating cultural tour. You will explore the Gandan-Tegchlen Monastery and the National Museum of Mongolian History, and then end the day immersed in an enchanting concert of traditional folk music, followed by a delicious dinner and a relaxing return to the hotel.
Day 13: Return to Italy
The next morning we will accompany you to the airport for your flight back to Italy. Have a good trip home!
